Works really well

The first thing you need to do is download the app, you get a code in the box to register it, the registration code works for three devices. The idea is you scan the cards with the app and an animal displays and you can swivel the animals by touching the screen. The next thing are little cards with food on and if you place next to the animal it will eat the food. The animals are actually pretty good and detailed and they work really really well, easy to scan the cards and the app is pretty decent. They move realistically and are very life like doing their own thing and their are a lot of different animals to scan.As well as the cards the app has an option to read/ hear all about the animals with either a pre school or advanced narrative. There is a little animal detective game and a vr mode too.Holo mode let's you view the animals in 3d if you have a prism to use with it.All in all impressed with the animals, detail and thr quality of the audio Its great for kids to learn about animals and have fun doing it, my daughter loves watching them come to life through the phone. My only annoyance is the license, if you have bought the set you shouldn't be confined to just three devices, though it's enough for most it's just annoying.

Not Just 2D but why not 3D!

I love AR items and believe there is a huge area that could be expanded in education. I have used a couple of textbooks that I thought were wonderful as they brought the images to life literally leaping off that page. These card are pretty much the same. You download the accompanying app and then point your camera at the card and a 3D video appears on the card (well on your phone). Change card, the animation changes. My only criticism and it is a small one is that the card without the AR employed are a little dull, in black and white only. However good value and brings a ne dimension to animal cards.

This is an excellent sets of well made, good quality alphabet cards. There are 26 cards animal based cards, with 5 food cards and you need to download the associated Animal 4D+ app to get the most from the experience. In the app itself, you simply point the camera at the cards and the animals appear in 3D on their cards. You can have multiple cards at the same time and multiple animals will show. The app has an excellent feature of allowing photos or videos to be taken of what is displayed through the phone. You canm move the phone around to see the animal from different angles. You get five associated food cards and on the animal card, if they link to that food the animals will interact with the food. I had up to 6 cards (three animals and 3 foods) and they all appeared and interacted. The app also has a list of the animals and has further information shown on them (without the cards being presented) whilst the animal is shown in 3D. You can also have the information read out loud. There is an augmented reality mode for use with AR glasses. This is delightful and a lot of fun, for both young and old. Its an excellent price and will give hours of fun.

When you purchase the Octagon Animal Cards 4D+, you're not just getting a deck of cards - you’re also receiving a serial key that unlocks access to a brilliant app for your phone or tablet. Still unsure? No problem - you can install the app and try out a limited free trial using sample cards found online. So don’t wait - give it a go!Installing the app was quick and effortless. It launches you straight into the experience without any hassle. Just place one of the animal cards on a table, point your device’s camera at it (I used a tablet), and watch the animal spring to life in stunning 3D. You can move around to view it from any angle and even capture photos or videos complete with realistic animal sounds. The bonus food cards add another layer of interactivity - but I’ll let you discover that part for yourself! Each letter from A to Z features its own animal (yes, Queen Bee and X-ray Fish for Q and X!), and they’re all equally captivating. If you have a child glued to their phone, this is something unique that might actually teach them a thing or two - just don’t let them know it’s educational!I’m genuinely in love with this app and can’t wait to spend more time with it myself. Top marks!

Cars 4D+ Augmented Reality Cards by Octagon Studio========================================A great set of cards. I was initially very unimpressed by the very old vehicles on show on the cards - I mean the models are so old and american, they look like the cars you might see in an old black and white movie. I grudgingly eased up a little seeing the AR models appear on the phone (you need to download the Cars 4D app first). They appear superimposed on top of the camera so as you move around you see your room and it looks like the car is actually there. It even picks up more than one car consecutively if it recognises the cards. It gets even more interesting when you pick the drive mode - you can actually “drive” each of those vehicles using a virtual wheel , ignition switch, drive and reverse stick, gas and brake pedals. Super fun and super weird. If that's not enough, you can create tracks and virtual obstacles and then drive your virtual vehicle through them. Although they sell other packs with animals, dinosaurs, alphabet, colouring etc they don't seem to have a racing car one, or one with more up to date models - I would love to see a super cars one, but then these cards are possibly only really targeted for younger minds? although I still found these old car cards quite entertaining. I certainly wouldn't complain if I found these in my xmas stocking. Currently selling for 7.20

These are great fun with the kids (rare 5star from me)

Ok so it has to be said “FUN”, these are a great way to either let the kids learn while playing, or, have fun with them while they learn. You get a deck of cards, you then download the app, enter the serial number of your deck, and off you go.In this case the deck is “Professions”, A =“Astronaut”, B =“Builder”, and so on, each profession has a slick animated character to interact with, you can move them around, they speak to you, and its all very smooth, great graphics, I mean to kids it’s basically “Magic”…..which obviously just means they want to play with them more, its a Win, Win.The cards are a decent thickness and quality, the printing is all nice and cleanly done, each characters 2d depiction on the card is well done and on the reverse they have put the “Letter” in bold print giving a good visual aid.I think these are great. So my final thoughts on the “Octaland 4D+ Augmented Reality Alphabet cards”;Quality =Great (From the printing to the 4d augmented character, all round done well)Aesthetic. =Good (The designs look great, even just on the card they are fun characters)Utility. =Good (They offer fun and learning!, that’s got to be a win)Value. =Good (Frankly for the price you get a lot of fun)Would I recommend the “Octaland 4D+ Augmented Reality Alphabet cards”, without hesitation I would, “YES”.

These Augmented Reality (AR) dinosaur cards are absolutely awesome. A couple of the reviews said they didn't work well or were difficult to use. It's possible they've improved the app since then, but I found them very easy to use and very reliable. The quality of the models and animations is very high, arguably just a notch or two below Jurassic Park movie quality. The app downloads for free in just a few minutes. The cards come with a serial number to unlock the app, which can be loaded onto a total of three devices. I tested it on an iPhone SE and an iPhone X. If the time comes to get a new device, you can unregister the serial number from the old device and transfer it to the new one.The pack of cards contains 20 prehistoric creatures (not all of them are technically dinosaurs), with the exact list included in the attached photos. All the popular dinos are there, with the exception of Stegosaurus. Once the smartphone (or iPad) camera focuses on the name printed on the card, the creature magically appears on top of the card. I found it works best to lay the card down on a stationary surface, such as a desktop, but the phone can be handheld without any problems. Moving the phone around changes your view of the creature accordingly, and you can also scale it up by touching your thumb and forefinger to the screen. I discovered you can activate multiple creatures simultaneously by carefully arranging the cards so that they're all in focus.Once brought to life, each creature fidgets and moves, in addition to having one or two "actions" which you can activate, such as roaring, walking in place, rearing up on its hind legs, flapping its wings, etc. There's also a "fun fact" which you can bring up on the screen. In addition, the T. rex, Giganotosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Triceratops have two extra modes - Skeleton and Drive. Skeleton toggles the skin and muscles off to reveal just the dinosaur's skeleton going through the motions. Drive mode allows you to make the dino walk in a specified direction, so you can make it leave its card and amble around your desktop.Independent of the cards, the app also comes with Virtual Reality scenes featuring five of the creatures. To be honest, it's a half-hearted effort, with the forest backgrounds being blurry and only the creatures themselves being in sharp focus. The sensor limitations of the smartphone also limit the effectiveness of the virtual reality - you can't, for example, move from one side of the animal to the other; sitting in a swivel chair and tilting your head up and down are the only perspective changes each scene can accommodate. If you don't already own a smartphone virtual reality headset, it's not worth purchasing one just for this. Having said that, my favorite VR scenes were the ones with Triceratops and Giganotosaurus. There's also a combination AR/VR mode which splits the AR card effect into two images, to be used with a virtual reality headset. Here, though, the VR headset has to be one which doesn't block the phone's camera. Since the camera only has one lens, there's no 3D effect - I believe the point is to be able to view the cards and change your viewing perspective "hands-free".There's also a "Holo Mode" which shows the animal simultaneously from the front, back, and both sides. It's meant to be used in conjunction with a device called a HoloPrism, which must be purchased separately. If you plan on showing the dinosaurs to several people at once gathered around the table, this will prove useful. Finally, the app includes a library of the same 20 creatures, with additional information about each, separated into pre-school and 1st-3rd grade learning levels. Also included is a visual size comparison of each animal to an adult human. This last element is fascinating in itself, driving home how big some of these dinos really were.

A great educational product.

A great educational product. So far I have bought the dinosaurs, space and (animal from different supplier) packs. My daughter and nephew loves them. Learning whilst having fun. Great for imaginative play (see photos).Additionally, great customer service. There was a packing error with the original order, which the seller promptly addressed outside of office hours, received the other pack with 1 working day.
